The Ararat U3A committee for 2023 was elected and U3A members were encouraged to consider joining as there is still one vacancy for a committee member.
The Mayor of the Ararat Rural City Council, Jo Armstrong was our Guest Speaker. She talked about her idyllic childhood growing up in NZ and her move to Australia. Cr Armstrong went on to outline council’s 5 year plan and their progress to date, as well as emphasising the importance of community involvement.
